Adjourned Meeting

June 26, 2007

7:30 a.m.

Members Present     

Branfort, Brown, Brownell, Kieffer, Koch, Rogers and Seifert

 

Others Present

            Superintendent Roberts and Clerk Tremblay      

             

Call to Order 

President Brown called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.

           

Approve the Consent Agenda          

Motion made by Rogers, seconded by Brownell to approve the consent agenda.  Motion carried  7-0.

                                                           

Receive Patron’s Comments

            None 

 

Unfinished  Business

Ratify Negotiated Agreement:  Motion made by Koch, seconded by Seifert to approve the negotiated agreement with the Clifton Clyde Teachers Association for 2007-2008.  Motion carried 7-0.

Items negotiated included a raise averaging at two percent, an increase in the fringe benefit from $4,000 to $4,150 and a wording change on Article VIII, E - Association Leave, and Article IX, Duty Days.   

Approve Administrative Salaries:  Superintendent and principal salaries were discussed and it was the consensus of the board to add two percent on the fringe for the principal contract and the salaries will be determined at the July meeting.

 

New & Misc. Business

SWPRSC Contract:  Motion made by Seifert, seconded by Branfort to approve the contract with Southwest Plains Regional Service Center for 2007-2008.  Motion carried 6-0-1.  Brownell abstained and an abstention counts as a nay vote.

Accept Resignation:  Motion made by Rogers, seconded by Brownell to accept the resignation of Deb Lange, with regrets, as the grade school teacher aide.  Motion carried 7-0.

End of Year Transfers:  Motion made by Seifert, seconded by Koch to approve the end-of year transfers as presented.  Motion carried 7-0.

Approve Non-Certified Salaries:  Motion made by Branfort, seconded by Rogers to approve a two percent increase on the non-certified wages for the 2007-2008 school year.  Motion carried 7-0.

 

Superintendent Remarks

Mr. Roberts expressed his thanks to board member Scott Seifert for his 8 year of service to the district.
