Cross Country in Washington
The CCHS cross country team ran
Thursday at Washington. The girl's team place second
overall. Karly VanCampen placed 3rd in a time of 17:28:
Kenzie George placed 5th, 18:11; Alyssa Hubert placed 11th,
18:55; Blair Bloomfield finished 31st, 21:29; Kayle VanCampen
finished 33rd 21:48; and,
Allie Bloomfield finished 35th in a time of 22:29.
Coach Begnoche was happy with
their finish. He said, "There was confusion on where to run
and Karly had to backtrack; otherwise, I think she would have been
first. She was OK with it because she knew she did the right
thing. I was proud of her."
For the boys, Alex
Potuzak placed 13th in a time of 21:28; Trevor Barnes placed
52nd in 30:29; and, Jacob Wren placed 56th in 32:42.
