VanCampen Sets Course Record
Saturday, September 29th the Clifton Clyde Cross Country team
competed at the Centralia meet, which was held at Centralia
Lake. With almost everyone beating their personal best times,
it was a very successful meet.
Karly VanCampen placed first and set a meet record of
16:35. Coming in a strong second was Kenzie George with a
personal best of 17:13, Alyssa Hubert took 13th with a personal
best of 18:53, and Blair Bloomfield placed 25th with a time of
20:10. Other team members included Kayle VanCampen who
finished with a time of 21:23 and Allie Bloomfield who ran a time
of 21:41. The girls took first place as a team with 31
points. Individual medals were given to the top runners in
each class, so Karly VanCampen and Kenzie George medaled.
For the boys Alex Potuzak medaled and placed fifth with a time
of 18:41 which is also a personal
best. Other Eagles included Barrett Winter who finished
with a time of 24:16 and Trevor Barnes who ran a time of 25:58.
The next meet will be held Saturday October 6th at Leonardville
beginning at 10:30 AM.
