Unfinished Business
Middle School Roofing: The roofing project at the middle school is now complete. Some painting
still needs to be done and some masonry work will need to be done on the bricks in the future.
Facilities: The remodeling of the library and Don Marrs architectural services were discussed. It
was estimated that a wall would cost $5-10,000 for material and labor and architectural services
will be approximately $5,000. This was not including new shelving and furnishings. All of the library
collections need to be updated in all of the libraries and the board was in favor of getting this started
soon. Motion made by Feight, seconded by Brownell to retain the services of Don Marrs, architect,
to develop a code footprint and specifications needed to let bids on modifying the library at Clifton
Clyde High School. Motion carried 4-2. Kieffer and Rogers cast the nay votes.
Rogers went on record stating that he is in favor of the addition of two classrooms on the south end
of the building. He feels that is best for the students and the school and that the district can find the
money for this project.
Mr. Roberts will contact Mr. Marrs as soon as possible so the bids can be let out and the remodeling
can be done this summer.
Mr. Roberts has two estimates of $26,000 and $31,000 to refurbish the bleachers.
