Read to Kids
Area III Project
Normally, Clifton-Clyde High School KAYS members drive over to the grade school on Wednesday mornings to read for the children as a school service project. But, for the month of October, KAYS members have interchanged crafts with reading every other week. The grade school students made extremely scary, but fun, crafts all throughout the month with KAYS members.
On October third, Jordan Branfort, Megan Blackwood, Haley Ouellette, and Laura Wilson started out the month by reading and helping students make frightening Halloween masks. Then, a week later, Caitlan Brownell, Karly VanCampen, Amanda Price, and Alyssa Kieffer read stories. For the grade school’s second craft, Molly Potuzak, Dani DeRusseau, Alyssa Hubert, and Ashley Seifert assisted in making ghoulish ghost suckers on the seventeenth. On October twenty-fourth, Devin Cornwell, Caitlin Charbonneau, Laura Rogers, and Bryna Knox had a great time reading. Finally, on Halloween, Alex Price, Catherine Germann, Alyssa Hubert, Amber LeDuc, and Chelsi Barnes had a grand finale with the children by painting scary ghosts with their feet.
