Scholarship Information:

NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award deadline is fast approaching.  The scholarship application deadline is February 11, 2008.  To apply or to get more information, go to www.NFIB.com/YEA.

 

Kansas Association of Directors of Plant Facilities has established a scholarship fund for graduating seniors of custodial workers.  Students must plan to attend a Kansas college.  Awards range from $250 - $1,000.  The applicants will be judged on ACT or SAT scores, cumulative gpa, curriculum, financial need, extracurricular activities, work activities, and an interview.  The deadline to apply is February 22, 2008.

 

Kohl’s Kids Who Care Scholarship Program is for kids ages 6 – 18.  This scholarship is for kids whose volunteer efforts have made a positive impact on their communities.  For official rules visit www.kohlskidswhocare.com.

 March 15th is the deadline to apply.

 

College Information:

 

Kansas State University “Senior Days” are Monday, February 11th and February 18th.

This is your opportunity to discuss your academic interests with a K-State faculty member and to hear the latest information about financial assistance, scholarships, fraternities, sororities, and residence.  Take a tour of campus and enjoy lunch at the K-State Union.  The cost of the program is $20 per student and $15 for parents and other guests.  Questions?  Call 1-800-432-8270 or e-mail k-state@k-state.edu.

 

Hutchinson Community College has announced its 2nd annual HCC 9-1-1 Student Field Day.  The 9-1-1 Emergency Communications profession is a constantly growing and changing field of employment.  HCC has the only enhanced live 9-1-1 equipment and State of the Art Radio equipment.  Registration deadline is February 25th for the

Kansas State University College of Engineering “Engineering Day” is February 15th.

Guests will get an in-depth look at the College of Engineering, discuss career opportunities and the latest challenges in the field of engineering – energy, environmental protection, computing, information technology, robotics, construction, biotechnology, manufacturing and water.  Registration deadline is February 1st.
