CROSS COUNTRY TRAVELS TO ONAGA
The Onaga meet offered some challenges for the runners. The course was changed from previous years and it wasn't to the liking of the runners. The meet also had some different teams than the Eagles usually face.
Kaw Valley won the girls competition with 43 points, Wabaunsee was second with 69, and the Eagles placed a close third with 73 points. The Eagles again had an individual win the race. Kenzie George came in first in a time of 16.22. Karly VanCampen placed third in 17:00, Ashley Seifert placed 20th, Blair Bloomfield 22nd, Kayle VanCampen 34th, and Allie Bloomfield was 35th. The girls each earned a third place team medal, Kenzie, Karly, Ashley, and Blair earned medals for being in the top 25. Kenzie and Karly also earned medals for being first in their class.
In the boys race Alex Potuzak earned the 14th place medal in 18:41. Mitchell Long placed 47th in 22:27, Trevor Barnes 55th in 23:31, and Grant Rogers finished 59th in 25:15. The boys didn't have enough runners to compete as a team. Washington boys won the meet.
