VanCampen Wins Girls Third
The Eagles’ cross-country team traveled to Onaga on September 17. The Eagles were short several runners because of sickness and other commitments. Running for the girls, Karly VanCampen won the meet with a time of 16:02.30. Alyssa Hubert was the second Eagle to finish. She finished 15th in 18:51.70. Ashley Seifert was 25th in 20:11.50, Danielle Seifert was 36th in 21:32.10, Bethany Branfort 44th in 22:35.40, Caitlin Charbonneau 46th in 22:39.30 and Morgan Feight was 57th in 24:03.02. The girls placed 3rd as a team with 48 points, behind first place Rossville with 18 points and Washington with 38.
The boys had two runners participate. Lucas Branfort finished 53rd in 21:32.80 and Mitchell Long finished 56th in 22:32.80.
The team will run at Belleville on Thursday, September 24. The boys will run first at 4:30.
