Helping Hands Trust
A grant of up to $1,000 per year ($500 per semester for no less than 12 credit hours) is available for undergraduate college students. Lesser amounts may be allowed for other schools such as vocational and trade schools under state accreditation.
Eligibility requirements:
- no particular grade point average, but a 7-semester transcript must accompany the application
- no applicant will be considered if the applicant has a conviction under any city, county, state, or federal laws or any jurisdiction in the U.S., for any violation of alcohol or drug laws, and any and all such applicants shall be automatically rejected by the Board of Trustees. If any applicant receives a grant and is later convicted of any such violation, any unexpended funds will be withheld, and that applicant is disqualified and shall not be eligible for any additional grants from this Trust.
- applications must be returned to the Trust secretary no later than February 21.
SAMMY body by milk
The annual “Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year” recognizes outstanding scholar athletes in grade 12. Judging of the nominees will be based on 5 criteria:
- academic performance (35%)
- athletic excellence (35%)
- leadership (15%)
- community service (10%)
- milk experience (5%)

AES Engineers
Scholarship criteria does not depend upon grade point average. This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by a less than 1,000 word essay. The amount of award is $500. Deadline for entry is October 6, 2010.

Kansas4-H
If you are a 4-H member, check your Careers and Educational Issue for scholarships you may be eligible for. Mrs. Newell has a copy if you need one.
College Goal Sunday
From 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 21st, College Goal Sunday volunteers will offer FREE personalized help to college-bound students filling out their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Additionally, 4 students at each of the 20 convenient Kansas locations will win a $500 scholarship to the school of their choice. The winner must be a 1st – semester freshman in the fall of 2010.
