CCMS Cheerleaders attend KU Cheer Camp.

by Deb Lange

July 23rd, 24th, and 25th the CCMS Cheerleaders traveled to Lawrence, Kansas to attend the KU Cheer Camp.

While there the girls learned new cheers, chants, jumps and stunting techniques.  Each squad that attended also received a routine designed especially for their skill level.  On the last day of camp each squad performed their routine for parents and spectators.

Awards were also given out on the last day of camp.  The CCMS squad brought home two of these awards.  The first was the "Most Improved" award, this went to the entire squad.  The second award was for the "Rock Chalk Spirit Squad", this award went to Tori Kidd, daughter of Tanya and Darrin Kidd, Clyde.  Only ten girls from the entire camp were given this award.

The CCMS squad will be waiting patiently for school and sports to start so they can show you their new skills and cheer on the Clifton-Clyde athletic teams with you.  Hope to see you there!
