September 8 was the volleyball team's tournament.  They traveled to Riley County. The first match was against Mission Valley. The first game CCHS girls won 26-24. The second and third ones did not turn out as well. They lost 17-25 and 19-25.  Overall the team served 94%.

Our second match was against Riley County.  CCHS lost 17-25 and 18-25, and their serving was still at 94%.  After this game the girls had some time to think about what they did wrong and come back and play Chapman.  This was one of their best matches so far.  They won 25-19 and 25-10.  Their serving was 91%, and they had 31 hits in with 16 kills.  Katie George and Jamie Long did a really good job setting with 2 assists for George and 10 for Long.

After Chapman, the girls had a break but were still pumped. The next competition was Linn.  CCHS won those games 25-23, 17-25, and 25-23.  Their serving was better with 95% and they had 17 kills with 15 setting assists from George, Long, and Jancee Hobbs.  The girls also had 9 kill blocks: 3 from Blair Bloomfield, 1 from Keely Kieffer, 2 from Allie Bloomfield, and 3 from Molly Potuzak.

Right after Linn the girls went directly back on court and played St. Mary's.  They lost 16-25 and 14-25.  They played pretty well as a team though serving 94%, with 7 setting assists., 7 kills, and 1 kill block.

Then the Eagles played Riley County again losing 13-25 and 15-25. Even though the team lost, they served 100%

Overall in the tournament CCHS placed 4th!

The season total stats as of 9/8/07 is 95% serving, 117 kill hits, 101 setting assists, and 39 kill blocks.  The Eagles'  record overall is 3-7 and their TVL record is 1-3
