Hutchinson Community College is hosting their 11th annual “HCC Fire Student Field Day.” This is your opportunity to learn if you have what it takes for a career in the fire service. You will discover exciting and dynamic fire fighting techniques; talk with male and female firefighters and get first hand knowledge of firefighting as a career; find out the difference between a forest firefighter and a city firefighter; find out where HCC internships will place you for a summer job. A free barbeque is planned, so pre-registration is required. Register online at www.hutchcc.edu/fire by October 7th for the October 14th event from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.


Kansas State University announces some upcoming events. They include:
Western Kansas (that’s us) Senior Day September 14 Register online at consider.k-state.edu/seniors/ The registration fee is $20 per student, plus $15 per guest. Registration must completed by September 7th.
November 1st
is the priority deadline to complete K-State’s scholarship application.

Pittsburg State University College of Technology
will be hosting an open house on Friday, September 18th for all interested students. The event begins at 9:00 am and runs through 3:00 pm.
