BartonCommunity College

            BCC is looking for individuals interested in joining their student athletic trainers’ staff while continuing their education in college.  Their Sports Medicine Department directs the health care delivery system used for all Cougar student-athletes.  Each student athletic trainer is given the opportunity to participate in all activities directed out of the Cougar Training Room.  When assigned to work with a specific sport, this includes working practice sessions, covering home events, and usually accompanying the team on the road.

            20 student, including returning sophomores, are selected to join the athletic training staff each semester.  Each student receives a books and tuition performance award to help meet college expenses.  A minimum of 12 semester hours, and an overall GPA of 2.0 must be maintained to renew both the student-athletic trainer position and the performance award each semester.

WashburnUniversity

In Washburn’s “Leadership Institute,” students can receive up to $8,000 total in scholarship rewards; grow in personal leadership awareness and development; be connected to an active network of leaders; and earn a certificate in Leadership Studies. 

The deadline to submit an application for a Leadership Scholarship is January 8, 2010.
