CoffeyvilleCommunity College
The Coffeyville Ravens are currently looking for high school seniors who have an interest in sports and/or medicine, (or who are looking at a possible future in other health care fields such as nursing, pre-medicine, EMT, Physical Therapy etc.). They have several scholarships available to offer students – books, tuition, room and board, for around $1500 per semester.
In exchange for the scholarship the student would have the opportunity to work with 2 NATA Certified Athletic Trainers; work in an up-to-date Athletic Training Room; learn basic skills of injury prevention, care and rehabilitation; and develop skills relative to working with collegiate athletes and coaches.
You do not have to have prior experience in order to be considered for a scholarship.

EmporiaState University
Funding has become available for the Early Application Scholarship (EAS) from Emporia State for qualifying students. If you have taken the ACT on or before September 12, 2009 and have scored at least 21, you are eligible for the EAS.
Students who meet the ACT qualification must apply for admission and pay the $30 application fee to ESU by Friday, October 9th to be eligible. Students may submit an application before midnight October 9th at www.emporia.edu/admissions, or by paper application postmarked the same date.
Students with a 21–23 ACT are eligible for $500; 24–26 are eligible for $1,000; 27+ are eligible for $1,500.
KansasState University
The K-State Civic Leadership Scholarship competition is designed to recognize youth with an outstanding record of community service and civic leadership.
Students must complete K-State’s general scholarship application by November 1st, then fill out a supplemental application, as indicated in their brochure, by December 14th.

KansasState University
If you enjoy solving problems and finding more efficient ways to complete must about anything, then you should consider a degree in Industrial Engineering. IEs use math, science and computers to solve complex business problems and design safe and efficient production systems so companies can increase their profits. These skills have allowed IEs to advance into management at twice the rate of other engineering disciplines.

McPhersonCollege
The Presidential Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship program at McPherson College. Students are invited to participate based on high school academic performance, personal resume and letters of recommendation.
Scholarships will be awarded based upon the following criteria:
- Essay written during the competition
- Personal interview
- Moderated round table discussion
- High school academic records.
To apply, you must submit several documents. They are available at the website at www.mcpherson.edu November 6th is the deadline to apply for the scholarship competition. November 14th is the day of the scholarship competition.

WU has announced their “Ichabod Senior Days.” They are:
Friday, October 23
Friday, November 13
Friday, December 4
Each day begins at 8:30 and lasts until 2:00. You will tour the campus, visit with professors about classes, feel what being an Ichabod is all about, and possibly win a WU scholarship or an iPOD.

The Garvey Competitive Scholarship Exam for $500 - $2,000 renewable scholarships to attend Washburn will be held:
In Topeka Saturday, November 21st @ 9:00 am
Wednesday, December 9th @ 6:00 pm
In Hays Saturday, December 5th @ 9:00 am
In order to take the exam, you must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative gpa and complete the application for admission with the $20 fee by December 16th.
