Cross-Country Runs at Belleville
The Eagles ran at Belleville on Thursday, September 24th. The Eagles faced some stiff competition, running against 3 and 4A schools. At Belleville the boys run first. Alex Potuzak went out strong and was in second for the first half of the race. Alex faded in the second half, but finished a respectable 8th in 18:57. Trevor Barnes was the only other varsity runner for the Eagles. He finished 60th in 23:03.
Karly VanCampen led the Eagles’ girls with a 3rd place finish in 16:32. Alyssa Hubert was the next Eagle to finish. She finished in 19:06, Ashley Seifert was next at 30th in 19:56, Danielle Seifert was 36th in 20:35 and Caitlin Charbonneau finished 49th in 22:15. The girls finished 5th as a team.
Belleville runs the JV separately. Mitchell Long finished 25th in 24:47, Grants Rogers was 31st in 26:08 and Jordan Breeding finished 34th in 28:37. Morgan Feight ran for the girls and finished 13th in 24:01. Bethany Branfort finished 14th in 24:13.
