Girls Win Boys Third

VanCampen Potuzak win 3rd Meet

Girls Win at Centralia The Clifton-Clyde Cross Country Team traveled to Centralia Lake on Saturday, October 3rd. The weather was cool and windy. Karly VanCampen won the girls’ race in 16:44. Kenzie George was the second Eagle to finish with a time of 17:37 in third place. Alyssa Hubert was 11th in 18:18, Danielle Seifert 21st in 20:07, Keegan Hubert 29th in 21:14, Caitlin Charbonneau 34th in 21:46 and Morgan Feight 47th in 23:40. The girls placed first as a team with 29 points, Washington followed with 46 and Jefferson County North finished 3rd with 53. All the girls received team medals. Karly, Kenzie, Alyssa and Danielle received individual medals and Karly and Kenzie received medals for being the first runner in their class to finish. The boys’ race followed the girls. Alex Potuzak won the meet in 17:31. Alex Deaver was 10th in 18:46. Trevor Barnes was the next Eagle to finish in 44th with a time of 21:00. Drew Deaver was 50th in 21:18, Dalton Porter 67th in 22:33, Jordan Breeding 85th in 24:59, Grant Rogers, Mitchell Long and Lucas Branfort also ran. The boys finished 3rd as a team with 92 points. Washington won with 28 points followed by Jefferson County North with 47. Alex Potuzak and Alex Deaver received individual medals and medals for finishing first in their class. Caitlin, Danielle, Alex Potuzak, Alex Deaver, and Drew Deaver all had personal bests. Overall it was a good day for the Eagles. The next meet will be at Leonardville on Saturday, October 10th.
