Twin Valley Foundation for Rural Education and Development (FRED)
Scholarships range from $1,000 - $5,000. Completed applications must be returned to Twin Valley Telephone before January 10, 2010. All scholarships are available through their website with links to download additional applications.
The FRED website is www.fred.org. It contains further information on scholarships, including sample financial need statements, nomination letters, letters of recommendation and other helpful hints.
Who may apply for a FRED scholarship?
Answer: Any student nominated by an OPASTACO member. That is the Organization for Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies, a trade association for small rural telecommunications companies and the vendors that service these companies.
