Officer Retreat Information

The retreat is approaching quickly.  The date is going to be moved up one day to the 5th-7th.  Here is some basic information about the retreat:

Clothing:  We are going to be outside basically the whole time.  Wear some clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.  Check the temperature and precipitation before we leave to help determine what to bring.  I would recommend sunscreen and bug spray.  There is not a lot of shade at the pond.

Shelter:  I am going to have a tent and a shade canopy there.  I would ask that a few of you bring tents as well.  Bring sleeping bags to sleep in.

Food:  Each of you will owe $20 dollars for the retreat.  With that money, I am going to buy all of the food for the meals.  I will also try to buy some snacks and drinks with left over money.  Please bring snacks and drinks with you too.  

The Pond:  The pond has a diving board, small water slide, and a paddle boat.  It is also stocked with bass, bluegill, perch, and catfish.  You can bring whatever water toys or fishing tackle you want.  I will also have washers there.  We do have an outhouse at the pond.

Transportation:  Remember that you can drive yourselves this year.  Here is what I am needing to make this work:  If you are driving, I need to have a letter from your parents saying that it is ok for you to drive.  If you are taking someone with you, the note will also need to say that it is ok for them to ride with you.  Use names.  If you are riding with someone, you need to have a note saying that it is ok for you to ride with that person.  Use names.  If you are needing a ride with me, let me know ASAP so that I can get a school vehicle lined up.

Forms:  You will also need to fill out the consent form  and medical authorization.  Bring those forms with you on the 5th.

Itinerary:  Here is the preliminary itinerary.  It is subject to change, but is a good idea of what we are going to be doing.
