Board of Education Minutes, June 25, 2012

Special Board of Education Meeting

June 25, 2012, 7:00 a.m.

Clifton Clyde High School

 

Members Present

    Steve Feight, Jeff Koch, Curtis Long, Dean Michaud, Deb Ohlde, Scott Seifert

 

Others Present

    Superintendent Cheryl Keim, Clerk Jan Tremblay

 

Call to Order 

    President Feight called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m.

 

Approve the Consent Agenda

    Motion made by Michaud, seconded by Seifert to approve the consent agenda as presented.      Motion carried 6-0.

 

Receive Patrons Comments

    None

 

New Business

    Executive Session:  Motion made by Feight, seconded by Ohlde to enter into executive session 

    for a period of five minutes to discuss nonelected personnel matters in order to protect the 

    privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed.  Motion carried 6-0.

    The board entered into the session at 7:03 a.m. and reconvened in open session at 7:08 a.m.

    Mrs. Tremblay was invited into the session.

 

Board Member Arrives

    Steinbrock arrived at 7:04.

    Motion made by Seifert, seconded by Long to extend the session for ten minutes.  Motion carried 

    7-0.  The board entered into the session at 7:09 a.m. and reconvened in open session at 7:19 a.m.

    Mrs. Tremblay was invited into the session.

 

Approval of New Superintendent Contract

    Motion made by Steinbrock, seconded by Seifert to approve the contract for Corey Reese as the 

    USD 224 Superintendent/9-12 Principal through June 30, 2014.  Motion carried 7-0.

 

 Approval of Transfers from the 2011-2012 School Year

    Motion made by Ohlde, seconded by Michaud to approve the budget transfers from the 

    2011-2012 school year as presented.  Motion carried 7-0.

               The following are the approximate transfers pending end of year closeout:

                           To Food Service                        $  15,000

                           To 4 Yr Old At Risk                  $  50,000

                           To K-12 At Risk                       $  50,000

                           To Special Education                 $200,000

                           To Vocational Education            $  76,002

    The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 a.m.
