Scholars' Bowl Team Wins State

On Saturday,
February 9, the CCHS scholars' bowl team consisting of Ben
Detrixhe, Anna Rogers, Dylan Koch, and Laura Rogers traveled to
Ell-Saline High School to participate in the 2A state
championship tournament.
The twelve state qualifying teams from across the state were divided into two pools of six. In pool play, CCHS went 4-1 losing only to Frankfort, a second Twin Valley League school who also qualified for state. In the championship round, CCHS dominated and went 5-0.
CCHS qualified for state by winning the regional tournament hosted by Decatur Community High School on January 31.
The Quest match versus Independent out of Wichita will be broadcast on Sunday, March 23 at 11 a.m on KTWU (Topeka), 1:30 p.m on KTWU-23.3DT, and at 5 p.m on KPTS (Wichita).
