Cynthia Newell: USD #224 Guidance Counselor
Thank you for opening my webpage. In case you don't know me, please let me introduce myself. I am Cynthia Newell -- wife, mother, grandmother, K-State fan, and Sudoku addict. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Kansas Wesleyan University and a Masters of Science in Public School Guidance Counseling from Kansas State University. In August of 1997 I came onboard at Clifton-Clyde.
I have the privilege of working with students, parents, teachers, community members, and support persons from community resources. Some of the services I can provide include scholarship searches, setting up campus visits and college representative visits, career inventories, personal and academic counseling, financial aid, and class scheduling. Besides being the counselor, I am also the CCHS Student Council sponsor, district Student Intervention Team coordinator, Friends of Rachel co-sponsor, and TASK(Teens Against Smoking in Kansas) sponsor.
I can be reached by e-mail at cnewell@usd224.com or by phone at (785) 446-3444. I will try to address your concerns or answer your questions. However, if I can't help you, I probably know people who can.
