HOBY

HOBY stands for the Hugh O-Brian Youth Leadership program.  It is one of the oldest and most prominent youth leadership organizations in the world.  HOBY was founded by actor Hugh O-Brian after returning from spending 9 inspirational days working and volunteering with Dr. Albert Schweitzer, the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize Winner.

Two weeks after his visit, O-Brian, who was portraying legendary law-man Wyatt Earp on television, sought to change the world in his own way – by engaging young leaders, the world’s most promising enterprise and greatest asset.  And in 1958, HOBY was born.

Only one (1) CCHS sophomore can attend this event.  If you are interested, talk with Mrs. Newell soon, as the deadline to register is December 4, 2009.

The fee for this program is $150.00.
