USD 224 Clifton-Clyde will be preparing meals for our community children during the time school is closed. Due to this situation, the Federal and State agencies have granted us permission to follow our summer lunch requirements, which allows any child, ages 1-18 to eat for FREE. However, no Adult meals will be available. This program will allow us to provide the current day’s lunch and the following day’s breakfast for the kids of our community (example: during Thursday’s pick-up time kids will receive Thursday’s lunch and Friday’s breakfast). Menu can be found on our website and app.
This service will begin Thursday, March 19th. In Clifton students will be served at the Grade School. Students need to come to the north gym door to receive their package. For Clyde we will be serving out of a clearly marked USD 224 vehicle on the north-side of the Clyde Apartments. To meet the requirements, any child getting a meal, must be present, or a parent/guardian can pick up a meal by showing a picture of the student they're picking up for. This is not a time for children or families to congregate, but instead an opportunity for us to provide you with meals. Serving times at each location will be from 11:30am-12:00pm.
Also, thanks to a generous donation by the people of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Clifton-Clyde Student Council snacks will be available at these locations during this time. This will help provide a little more reprieve to families during these uncertain times. Students may take one package of snacks each during the lunch pick up times. Thanks again to those two groups for their donations.
As always please contact Mr. Baker at firstname.lastname@example.org or 785-446-3444 with any questions.
