20.1 million adults living in the United States have been diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Many of these individuals are battling breast and prostate cancers. September was National Prostate Cancer Awareness month and October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. In honor of the millions of adults battling cancer, the Clifton-Clyde National Honor Society (NHS) is putting together Chemo Care Bags for patients at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center in Salina, KS.
The NHS group is currently accepting student and community donations of items to put in their bags. Some ideas for possible donations include: crossword or SuDoku puzzles, reading materials, fleece blankets, unscented lotions, hand sanitizers, and notebooks and pens.
If you are interested in helping the Clifton-Clyde NHS group with donations, please drop them off to the Clifton-Clyde High School prior to November 23rd. Thank you for your support in this community service project!
